Time to start the “OCCUPY THE MAN CAVE”  movement.

I enjoyed meeting students from the University of Cape Town last summer one of whom invited me to contribute to her epic publication.

The story, a SAX APPEAL EXCLUSIVE, explains that Republicans in the US typically get into money scandals and Democrats get into sex scandals. A well managed scandal can change the subject (from, say, unemployment, traditionally a downer) and actually give their ratings – among other things – a boost.  If it doesn’t kill their careers totally (McGreevy, Craig) or get them their own cable tv show (Spitzer) or a run for higher office (Gingrich).  

President Obama’s clean image just isn’t helping him much.  What he needs is a good olde fashioned scandal!  But as one who ran on a theme of ‘change’ and has governed as a centrist, will he pick the right scandal?  Goldman Sachs only knows!

So you liked the musical RENT?  You’ll love GRANT!

At a recent private show, Planet Washington performed an original parody at the new Arena Stage in DC for the annual meeting of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers (WRAG), the 100 largest private foundations in the greater Washington region! “Grantmaker!”  (parody of “Matchmaker” from “Fiddler on the Roof”).

We were accompanied by Planet Washington’s Frank Plumer and joined in song by some very talented and enthusiastic members of local foundations on stage and throughout the audience.  There was a voluntary sing-along for all members attending the luncheon!

The featured luncheon speaker — addressed Creativity — and was delighted with our show — deeming us one of the true creatives!

more than ever.

Spent Saturday (9/10) morning at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Building with 240 lawyers at the DC bar.  The first sunny day all week & I’m in the basement, excuse me, “the concourse level.”

What a crowd. What a crowd. It was rough I tell ya.-

This one lawyer had a new client come in to see him. “Can you tell me how much you charge?” said the client.

“Of course,” the lawyer replied, “I charge $200 to answer three questions!”

“Well that’s a bit steep, isn’t it?”

“Yes it is, and what’s your third question?”

I tell ya – it was rough!
